Hello everyone,
I am from Waterville, Ohio which is just 20 minutes north of Bowling Green. I came to BG as a Tcom majoring wanting to go into the radio business. I then thought about and changed majoring going into my Sophomore year. I have three younger brothers, one is a Sophomore at Ohio State.
This summer I worked at a golf course in near my hometown. I also had a job with Taylor Made Golf, where I was a tech rep. My job was to go to demo days around the area and show off the new products made my Taylor Made. This was an amazing job and looking forward to doing it again next summer.
I am in my junior year majoring in Sport Management. I grew up playing soccer, baseball and basketball. But as I grew older I stuck with baseball and then learned the game of golf at the age of 10. Throughout high school I played golf and baseball at the varsity level. During my junior and seniors years I was part of two league titles along with a sectional championship, district championship and a regional runner. During my senior year of golf my team won a few preseason tournaments and I was medalist runner up in one tournament shooting a round of 74.
The female athlete that I have seen and would continue to see is LPGA golfer Paula Creamer. She is one of the best female golfers on the tour and is a joy to watch play. Oh and she is a Taylor Made girl. As for the male athlete I will have to go with two, one being Tiger Woods my favorite golfer and speed demon Usain Bolt.
I love to follow college football (Ohio State) and college basketball (Duke) and the game of golf. College football gets exciting on week one and last all the way through the bowl season. The college basketball season really gets exciting when March comes rolling along.
I am also involved in the Bowling Green Radio Sports Organization. Being in that organization I have been able to produce Bowling Green basketball, baseball, hockey games and high school football and basketball games. Along with that I have gotten the opportunity to call many high school and BGSU Women basketball games over the airways along with having a radio show. So far the class has been very interesting, I was unsure what to expect on the first day of class. After leaving this class I hope to be able to tie gender and sport together.
